I wonder if people actually buy the item because they just feel comfortable with the voice...
Every time I hear a voice over now I guess if it's a celebrity's and why they would hire that person.

When I first heard John Krasinski (sp?) doing the verizon ad I thought it was my brother watching the office in the other room and it caused me to actually go in and watch the commerical so it certainly caught my attention. Though when I first found out it was Billy Crudup doing the Mastercard ones I was blown away how I didn't think it sounded anything like him and figured someone at Mastercard just thought he had a nice voice. So I'd say it works some of the time.
